I just upgraded one of my computers to Photoshop CS4... so far I don't think it is a "must have" upgrade if you already have CS3 (I thought CS3 was a "must have" upgrade - bridge and Camera RAW were MUCH improved over CS2) ... I have not done too much with it yet though, other than work up one small job of RAW files. The ACR interface is nearly identical, there are a couple new tools in ACR that look like they could be really cool - there is a graduated filter tool and an adjustment brush. I played with them a bit, and they will be a big help in fixing specific areas of an image. But other than that the ACR interface seems the same, which I guess is good as I have no complaints about it.

Bridge is slightly different, but mostly the same.

Photoshop itself has a slightly different look as far as palletes and stuff is concerned. It looks like some stuff will be a lot easier to apply - like adjustment layers and styles, but all that stuff was there already, you just had to know where it was. Not so sure I think this is a huge improvement. I know there are a couple amazing new tools in photoshop - like the new transform tool, but I have not played with it yet, and not sure how much I will need it.

I know Jefe was excited about CS4, curious to get his take on it, and see some videos (hopefully in the next month or so).

One thing I do think is a big deal with CS4 is the integration of Photoshop/Lightroom/Flash/ etc - I think the CS4 Suite users are in for a huge upgrade.

As I get more used to it and discover new tricks I'll post so more... but wanted to get a brief update in.

CS4 won't work with Dr Browns 1-2-3 Process - i tried installing it and it threw an error. Bummer. Hopefully we'll get a new version of it for CS4!

there is an updated Dr Browns Services available that works with CS4!

http://russellbrown.com

Now we can really start giving CS4 a beating and see how it compares to CS3 for correcting RAW files. I had been holding off for this as I use Dr Browns 1-2-3 Process and have become sort of obsessed with it.
