In these four lessons you'll learn how the extract filter in Photoshop CS3 works, and you'll use it to separate the subjects from the background. Learn how to select fine details like hair and how to clean up the edges of your extraction. You'll then add in a new background and apply some filters to add some finishing touches. In these videos you'll observe several different retouching jobs, ranging from an easy difficulty level to a more advanced level. We go over the basic retouching tools and techniques; the clone stamp, healing brush and patch tool, and demo some "outside-the-box" techniques using the lasso tools, brush tool, and some layer masks.
