rdyar Wow! Very nice Jefe.. all in 5 minutes. Very cool. I love the concept for these videos, one thing that would be cool to see at the beginning would be a before and after right before you start doing your thing (you could just add a screenshot to the beginning after you produce the video). Then i could maybe guess upfront how long it would take me/how i would do it, and then see how fast you do it.

jayfromwales just wondering. .why do you always 'merge' layers. whats the benefit? (apart from having less layers in the palet!)

also..

how do you do it with the keyboard?

jefe I like to merge as I go partly to keep my layers palette clutter free, but also to merge effects like blend modes, layer styles and filters. I like to keep an untouched version (layer) and work on a clean, flattened layer version so that I don't get confused if two filters or effects don't work well together . To merge any selected layers simply press CTRL E (Mac: Cmd E).
