| Top 5 ShortcutsOk, so the list above of shortcuts is pretty long... you don't even know where to start. Lets be honest, you aren't going to use them are you? If your answer is yes, you are really missing out! So lets start over and give you just 5 to memorize and then you can add to it as you go. - CTRL Z - Undo - you will use this relentlessly to undo the last thing you did. This is your best friend.
- CTRL ALT Z - Undo and then keep undoing. This simply just keeps walking backwards undoing things.
- [ and ] - ok this is a two-fer - the bracket keys increase and descrease the brush size of any brush related tool such as the clone stamp, eraser, healing brush, dodge and burn tools and of course the brush tool.
- CTRL J - duplicates a layer, or duplicates a selection and puts the selection on a new layer. Sounds weird, but is very useful. For example, open an image and immediatly press CTRL J to create a second copy on a new layer so you always have the original underneath.
- CTRL L - brings up the Levels dialog to adjust an image. Some people prefer the Curves dialog (CTRL M) but that is a little more complicated.
